Mr. Moraghan’s First Class worked in groups to measure the length and width of the Junior Yard and the Astro to the nearest metre.
This was done as a Maths lesson for the Strand of Measures.
The pupils used both metre sticks and trundle wheels to measure these. The skills used included estimating, teamwork and using hands-on measurement tools with careful measuring.

The different results show us the importance of rechecking measurements.
