St. Patrick’s BNS has an active Parents’ Association with representation from parents, the school (Vice Principal) and the Board of Management. The aim of the PA is to work together with the school in the best interests of our children.

A member of the PA represents the school on the NPC (National Parents’ Council).

One of the main functions of the PA is to fundraise for projects in the school. The funds raised have been invested in a number of key developments within the school, and also support day-to-day costs such as transport to school tours/games, catering at special events, etc.

The PA is a sounding board for school initiatives and queries, and is an ideal forum for discussing parental concerns/ideas.

The PA arranges a number of events throughout the year involving guest speakers on a range of relevant topics.

The PA provides catering at key events, and supports the Communion and Confirmation celebrations.

The main fundraising event is the Halloween Fair in October which has grown to become a popular community event.

We welcome new members and are always on the look-out for volunteers to help at our events  – it is a great way to support the school and to meet other parents!
