As part of Wellbeing Wednesday, students in the senior building were treated to a table tennis exhibition by table tennis coach John Daly and his son Daniel, a sixth class pupil In St Pat’s and the current U13 national table tennis champion. Afterwards, the pupils got onto the tables and received some tips and coaching from John and Daniel.
Daniel is a member of Loop Table Tennis Club in Raheny and part of the Irish team which recently won the International Primary Schools table tennis championship in Scotland, where Ireland defeated teams from England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands. Daniel is shown with the team trophy as well as the cup he won as Ireland U13 champion.
While senior school students were practising their table tennis skills, junior and senior infants were doing yoga lessons with infants teacher Ms Kealy, helping to make last Wednesday a day full of wellbeing throughout St Pat’s!
