Last week we marked Friendship and Anti-Bullying Week in St Pat’s with the theme of FriendSHIP.

The children took part in activities (including art, music, drama, games and discussion) to highlight the importance of developing and maintaining meaningful friendships.

We also explored the topic of bullying in all the classes. We talked about the ways a person can bully, the effects on the person being bullied, the role of others (‘upstanders’ rather than ‘bystanders’!) and the various people the children can talk to if they’re worried or upset about bullying. Cyber-bullying was also explored in senior classes.

Well done to all the girls and boys for their wonderful participation. And thanks to Ms Quinn for organising!

Take a look at some of the action from last week…
