In partnership with Tolka Rovers BC, our school participated in the Jr NBA programme. It offers an exciting and enriching experience for the boys, dedicating a full day to developing basketball skills, both on and off the court. This event was designed not only to enhance athletic abilities but also to cultivate teamwork, sportsmanship and personal growth among young players.

Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of basketball drills and exercises aimed at improving fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques. Expert coaches provided hands-on instruction, ensuring that each participant received personalised attention to maximise their learning and enjoyment.

Beyond physical training, the programme also emphasised important off-court skills relating to communication and leadership, through the media training session they attended.

The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and camaraderie as the pupils embraced every activity with eagerness and determination. Their positive energy and willingness to learn made the day memorable and impactful for everyone involved.

In summary, the Jr NBA programme was a fantastic opportunity for our children to grow their basketball skills, while building character and confidence. It was a day marked by fun, learning, and meaningful connections – leaving the young athletes inspired to continue their journey both on and off the court.
