We were delighted to host our ‘Penalty Shoot-Out’ in aid of Special Olympics once again this year. This is a much-loved event in St Pat’s BNS, and this year was no different.

Huge congratulations to all the boys who took part to raise funds for Special Olympics Ireland. From 1st class to 6th class, boys competed against each other for a place in the final which was held on Friday the 26th of May.
We were joined by Anita from Special Olympics Ireland on the day, who explained our fundraising was going towards supporting Irish athletes in the World Games in Germany this summer.
The final was a fun-filled and exciting day, with tense moments as each class level cheered on their classmates!

Not to be outshone, our younger pupils completed a challenging and fun obstacle course in the Junior School!

The whole event was a huge success and we must give a massive ‘thank you’ to all who kindly sent in donations! We really appreciate the support shown by our St Pat’s families; thanks for the generous contributions to such a worthy cause.

Well done to the winners, and well done to all the pupils for showing great sportsmanship!

Finally, a huge ‘thank you’ must go to both Ms Gallagher and Ms Rafter for organising the event.
