To celebrate St Valentines Day Ms Bowe’s Language Class and Mr Skelly’s 5th Class made a pilgrimage to Whitefriar Street Church to visit relics of St Valentine. This is a beautiful church near the city centre and besides the shrine to St Valentine has many imposing and spectacular stain glass windows. During our visit Bishop Denis Nulty agreed to pose for a few photos. On our way back to school we dropped into the Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar. Here we were treated to a breath taking photographic journey along the River Yangtze “Mother River” by the British-Chinese photographer, Yan Wang Preston. Very impressive and well worth a visit.
